Stroke101

Stroke101 education sessions support your workforce to confidently work with people affected by stroke, increase your team’s capability, and improve patient/client wellbeing and outcomes.
Kainga Ora stroke101 training

Stroke101 education sessions provide an overview of stroke that upskills health workforces to better support the stroke affected community. In just 90 minutes, our 101 training will teach your team the basics about what a stroke is, stroke risk factors, how to recognise signs of stroke, and how to support people and their whānau affected by stroke.

Stroke101 is designed so that primary health and community workers like Health Improvement Practitioners, Health Coaches, Whānau Ora Navigators, and Health Care Assistants, can confidently work with people affected by stroke, increasing their capability and capacity and improving client wellbeing and outcomes.

Local Community Stroke Navigators deliver the session on your premises and answer any additional questions you and your team may have. The session is designed to be interactive.

To book a Stroke101 education session, simply reach out to your local Community Stroke Navigator. You can do this by calling 0800 STROKE (0800 78 76 53) or emailing help@stroke.org.nz.
