After a stroke people often have a knock in confidence, and have feelings of sadness, stress, worry and frustration. If these emotions remain for a long time, they could be a sign of depression or anxiety. Around half of all stroke survivors experience depression and/or anxiety after stroke.

Through the experience of other stroke survivors and the knowledge of health professionals, these seminars / webinars will provide tips and strategies to help you manage depression and/or anxiety after stroke.

What we hope you will gain:

  • Awareness about how to recognise the signs of depression and anxiety
  • Knowledge on why depression and anxiety are common after stroke
  • An overview of ways to treat these conditions and where to go for help
  • Self-help tips for managing depression and/or anxiety.
