Stroke groups

Stroke groups meet regularly to unite people affected by stroke for mutual support and friendship. Find a club near you below.

Older women in an exercise class

There are stroke groups operated by volunteers throughout Aotearoa, where stroke survivors and their carers can connect with others in the community affected by stroke. Stroke groups may have regular weekly meetings, or meet less frequently, and can include organised activities including exercise programmes, morning teas, and other social activities. They generally charge a small attendance fee or ask for a koha on entry.

All stroke groups listed on our website are affiliated with Stroke Aotearoa New Zealand.

Please contact help@stroke.org.nz to enquire about a stroke group.
