Stroke Aotearoa NZ welcomes you to provide feedback, compliments and complaints which enables us to review and improve processes and celebrate good service.
Stroke Aotearoa NZ takes your feedback seriously. It is an opportunity to look carefully at how we do things, to improve the way we provide our services and acknowledge what is working well for our supporters.
The rights of everyone using a health and disability service are protected by the Code of Health and Disability Services Consumers’ Rights. The Code is provided by your Community Stroke Navigator and is also available on the Health and Disability Commission website.
How to provide feedback or voice a concern
- Directly to Stroke Aotearoa NZ
We suggest you voice your feedback or concern directly to the person who provided the service to you. You’re welcome to call, text, email or write to this person.
Your complaints will be investigated in a professional and timely manner and hopefully resolved to your satisfaction.
If you are still not satisfied or you do not feel able to talk to them, you can provide your feedback directly to Stroke Aotearoa NZ General Manager of Community Services, Nicky Mayne, by calling 0800 45 99 54.
2. With the support of a Health and Disability advocate
If you would like support to voice your feedback or concern, there is a free advocacy service to assist you.
Contact the Office of the Health and Disability Commissioner (0800 11 22 33).
The HDC also provide copies of the Code which can be downloaded from their website.
